Hello again,

My car is going to need a whole new exhaust and muffler. Since the car is 25 years old it does not have to take an annual emissions test or subject to any emissions rules. That said, is there a different route I can take than replacing the catalytic converter? I would say that this might offend those on here who are environmentalists, but then again what environmentalist is driving a 25 year old Cadillac? :lol:

Yeah, install a short cherry bomb muffler in place of the catalytic converter.

not sure what that means, but looking for an economical replace, and quiet drive

Brand new exhaust from cat back installed today, on to next fix :)

I don't think you can by pass the cat (Leagally and ways) casue it came from the factory and in Illinios any way it's a big fine or possible (in rare a case) jail time.
