The C6 Corrvette (Z06?) is rumored to have a 500HP 6.4L dubbed the LS7.
If it was tough to fit the LS6, then it will be more of a challenge with the LS7.

If this turns out to be true, that's very aggressive for Cadillac and GM. The
LS7 should have more torque than the BMW 5.5L V-10.

I believe the engines are the same size, so it shouldnt be any different fit than the LS6

The ALMS C5-R race 'Vettes run an LS1/LS6-based engine bored/stroked out to 7 liters.

The Lingenfelter shop and maybe others do 7-liter LS1/LS6 street engines using the race block or sleeved production blocks.

IRC, gm offers c5r blocks to customers. Which is same as the ls1/ls6 block

LS6 has 'windows' in the block webs to reduce 'windage' losses due to all the air being moved around in the crankcase by the pistons, rods, and crank (just lets the air move around more easily and spend less energy aerating the oil.) Other than that it's pretty much an LS1.

There's remarkably little in the LS6 that costs any more to build than the LS1 (valvesprings?) and remarkably little in the LS1 (okay, the sleeved aluminum block) that costs any more than a basic pickup-truck engine.

I believe the race block is a thicker casting, has provisions for dry-sumping, and has thicker liners and siamesed bores to allow that 7-liter displacement they run in ALMS.

Once the CTSv is released board users will be able to chat it up in the 'Pushrod engine' section of the board...

Little bit of trivia for you guys:

15% of 2001 and 25% of 2002 Z28's had LS6 blocks instead of LS1 blocks.
