if you dont mind sharing what mods were done and what are you expecting for a power output

The first mods were Shorty Headers, Electric Exhaust Cut-out, and Intercooled S/C running at 7.5lbs of boost had me around 520hp @ wheels. This time around the mods are Brembo's big brake kit, Custom Bored out Heads, CompCams Cam, One off set of Forged Dish Diamond Racing Pistons,Cat's delete Straight pipe, Hotchkis Sway Bars. Wit the the engine work it should put me well in the 600s at the wheels.

I like the color, my boss has the same truck. Same color, ESV. Trading it in tomorrow for a 08 EXT in the same color.

I guess he aint the only one who has this scarce color.

Nice!

Thats kind of small and ghetto looking sub enclosure. Is it ported?

1SICKESV
02-20-08, 11:43 AM
No it isn't ported. It may look small in the pic but, it takes up all my space in the back. If you must criticize. Its not done either. Gonna dress it up. It came out of one of my previous cars. It's gonna be re carpeted with black vinyl and the gaps will be filled in the back.

I can't wait to see this ESV in person. Have you told the shop about us? We could likely get them many more projects.. And it would be pretty cool to see more ES"V"s around. :p

Not to sound like an ass but where is the S/C? What I see is what looks like a cool cool air intake and a big red box. The S/C's I have seen sit on top of the block. Am I missing something.

Naw it's there. The 'big red box' must be the aftercooler. Follow the air; there's the air filter on the passenger side, then it turns and goes down by the block, then you see the aftercooler which then feeds directly into the intake manifold.

Must be a centrifical type of blower unit.

I figured the red box was the intercooler. At least that is what 1sickesv say's it is. I did follow the air and if that is the case where are the pully's and belt that turn the S/C. Could it be more of a turbocharger than a standard blower?

http://www.umsbysixto.com/web-images/Oscar-Escalade-ESV/DSC06670.JPG Follow the air flow/ air filter then drops to the s/c its black, it's still belt driven. It looks like a big turbo. Runs cooler and more efficient then sitting on top. Then the air gets cooled by the intercooler.
