It probably includes a kit to put threaded inserts in all the critical areas like the head bolts/studs. I would be looking for a used engine or a reputable rebuild. I've heard mixed reviews on Jasper engines; maybe search the archives around here. I see some pretty nice 4.9 Caddys on Ebay going for $2500 or less. Good luck Edahall 02-24-08, 10:50 AM Northern Auto Parts http://www.northernautoparts.com/ is about the lowest price for a rebuild kit for these engines? Why are you looking into rebuilding this engine? If it were my engine and it had over 250k miles on it, I might put in a set of new rings and main bearings. These engines wear extremely well and even at 250k miles, you most likely will very little cylinder wear so boring is not needed.
