i know you all have a lot of these threads when it comes to the traction control light abs light on, both have been on for a while now

is it the computer, sensor, etc?
also i was wondering if a really good code reader would be able to read
my friend has shop with some pricey code readers , ive been meaning to stop by and see if anything comes up
i know the codes but will it tell me if its a sensor or something

also my passenger side tweeter will randomly have a loud static noise
ive never opened the panel or messed with it
even does when the cars off

id appreciate it if someone can steer me in the right direction
ill have some pics of my car up soon

:welcome: Pull your own codes: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-tech-tips/55172-how-pull-codes-got-codes-warning.html

And translate them here: http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd2.html

That will get you started on whether its a computer, sensor, etc.

Your abs/traction control issue is a wheel speed sensor, the traction control and abs work off that sensor. The crappy part is that it is intergrated into the wheel hub, so you have to replace the entire unit. Once you pull the codes you will know which one has failed. You also don't have first gear, since it disables when the trraction control is disabled.

The tweeter sounds like a loose wire.

I already said this on another thread but my alternator was going bad and the abs and trac control light would come on. My speakers would also make weird noises because there was not enough power to run them(I am guessing). Check your voltage and see if that is your problem.

Go to the link Chubby posted and scroll down to Typical DTC Prefix. With those prefix's you can figure out if your DTC is a body, chassis or powertrain code.
