so i ran my own constant from the battery to the back of the dash, wired the 06 up exactly as described in the manual, and the radio works great! only problem is something i've read about before... every once and a while it will just shut off... it will come back on on it's own within a few seconds... at the most 15 seconds last night...

i got home, pulled it back out and made sure ALL my connections were tight and secure... and they were... is this going to be a common problem... on my way to work this morning it didn't do it and that was a 20 minute drive... i was pretty happy... any help would be appreciated...

another thing, on the GMOS-06 it sayd if you hear distortion to adjust the little phillips head on the side ofone of the harness inputs, and also the extra grounds were if you have engine noise... thankfully the sound created is great... i didn't touch anything!

the 4 rca versions are plauged with problems, it seems i got one of the last 2 rca versions which work 100%

either find a 2 rca version, or your pretty much out of luck, theres not much more that can be said, if you have the unit hooked up for a constant, and the ground is always grounded, then the ignition power is shutting off the hu due to a data class II conflict

well, at least i know that i didnt do anything wrong... haha... i'm kinda already used to it... but i sure will be embarassed if i have a coworker or client in my car going to lunch or what not... maybe i'll print this post and hand it out to passengers LMFAO!!!

thanks for your help... i read a lot about the bad ones... but since the warehouse here JUST got it in i figured i would be safe...

another strange thing is that on my head unit screen when i turn the sub off the BOSE comes on... and when i turn the sub on via the HU the BOSE goes off... maybe that will help being that i want to hook up my 15 CV and amp i have in the garage...

welcome to the gmos06 shit wagon bro. im used to it too.
the 15 sec thing will increase and then decrease. theres no way to predict it. one way i get it back on quick is by pressing the onstar button, then quickly ending the call. turns it rightback on.
its shut off on me too and my girl said that i shouldnt have done the install myself.....i told her it wasnt me but the faulty 06. but she just laughs.
