I'm too lazy to take pictures but I'm talking about the circle thing right below the springs. It goes like this: springs - the metal circle - tire.

Ive been taking a hammer and hitting the metal circle to get clearence for the tire. I can't seem to bend it enough. (Yea 22's)

Do a search for H&R Concentric wheel spacers. Measure the clearance you need from the struts. Confirm that you have the clearance from the tire to the inside fender lip. Buy the necessary spacer. They aren't listed for the Catera but the ones for the Saab 9-3 or 9-5 will fit. They come in 5mm, 15mm, 20mm, and 25mm but I'm only suggesting 5mm spacers if any. I think if you have to bang at the struts to make 22 inch wheels fit, maybe they shouldn't. If you absolutely must have 22 inchers you may have to consider flaring the fenders.

PS: Struts weren't designed to bend. You may have damaged them. Be careful.
