Well, first off, these are the first HID lamps I've ever had on a vehicle, and dayum. What a difference! It's taking me awhile to get used to the articulating feature, but how cool is that? What really surprised me the most though, is the instant "snap on" of the high beams. What are they? Are they also HID? Or something else? The're extremely fast, like LED's. I'm familiar with some aftermarket HID kits for other vehicles that use HID for low beams and Toshiba HIR's for high beams, but whatever is on my CTS is all together different. WOW! Let there be light!!
Now, an esoteric question, perhaps, but does anyone else think it's a little strange how the lamp lenses don't really match up with the surrounding panel on the inside? I heard these lamps were adopted from the XLR's, but was no modification to the lenses made so they would sit flush all the way around? Just seems like kind of a strange styling decision.
