View Full Version : Look what I bought.. arnauts 02-17-08, 05:43 AM I am happy to say that I am the proud owner of a near flawless 1994 FWB in what I believe is called Medium Adriatic Blue, with matching interior. The car has 78,xxx original miles, and lived in Arizona most of it's life. It was imported into Canada by a collecter in January, and I snatched it up as fast as I could. I spent all the money I had in this world, and then some. But it was worth it.
I don't know the orgin of the rims, but I am fond of them. At first I didn't like the wheels, but they grew on me a lot since I first saw them.
The car has four brand new tires, called Arizonians, which were apparently bought new in Phoenix a short time ago. Does anybody know anything about these tires? 235/70/15, as per factory specification, I believe.
This is a factory CD player car with casette also. Power antenna works flawlessly, and so does power trunk pull down. Key fob is also in A1 condition. I hope some of you can enlighten me to which options I have, and which I do not. I am curious as all hell.
Tell me what you think!

I hope you enjoy. And I like the wheels. jayoldschool 02-17-08, 08:33 AM Take a photo of the SPID sticker in the trunk, then look up all your options HERE (http://www.capriceclassic.com/spids.html). This will give you all the info on everything on your car.
I recognize those wheels, but can't remember who made them. I've seen them in larger diameters.
To put that finishing touch on that nice engine bay, pick up a new coolant recovery tank. The old one will never come clean, and they turn yellowish over time. A brand new one is cheap, and will really look great in there. I went the other way with my 95 SS, though - I did the coolant tank and the windshield tank with satin black Krylon fusion paint for plastics. Makes the tanks blend in like on Vettes. I would think that you would prefer to keep it stock, however... 96BIG_BODY 02-17-08, 01:17 PM looks really clean man Benzilla 02-17-08, 01:43 PM Nice, I love the color. The rims take some getting used to though.
Ben. CaddyChillin77777 02-17-08, 05:15 PM Wow, nice car. I liked the rims from first look. In my opinion, you got more for your money. Cadillacboy 02-17-08, 05:19 PM Nice ride ,I like suede cover too .My next goal is to have an alcantara roof as well caddycruiser 02-17-08, 06:14 PM I'm fairly sure those wheels were made by Vogue (who still makes a lot of custom accessories), specifically for the Fleetwood--hence the proper size, bolt pattern, and offset.
As for the tires, those are the stock size/type, 235-70-15 whitewalls.
Otherwise, looks like the MOST COMMON Brougham package with leather, standard Brougham vinyl top, full-size spare, and then the not always common but nice CD/cassette. Very typical, in options.
Looks GREAT. The blues are my least favorite colors, but when it's such a well kept car, I can ignore that a bit. Congrats:thumbsup: eldorado99 02-17-08, 06:35 PM Very nice, I can vouch for the condition of the car as we had a miniature Cadillac Owners meet about a week ago. That is a nice highway cruiser for sure. pompste 02-17-08, 06:44 PM Beautiful, classy looking Fleetwood.Wheels look great! They do show more of the brake drums than one would like to see from up close though.I`d like to get a dashboard pad like the one you`ve got on yours.
Hopefully you`ve got a garage long enough to hold you`re 225" long land yaght. saved94fleetwood 02-17-08, 07:18 PM Wow really nice fleetwood A++++ cadillackid64 02-17-08, 08:25 PM I'm fairly sure those wheels were made by Vogue (who still makes a lot of custom accessories), specifically for the Fleetwood--hence the proper size, bolt pattern, and offset.

Other than that, how did you enjoy the play Mrs. Lincoln? 1990CaddyBrougham 02-17-08, 08:25 PM Looks clean! Not to many passengers in the rear it looks, or the passenger side at that. Im on the fence with the wheels, id go for the factory chrome wheels optioned back in the day, a nice set would run you some bank. Id say the ones on it now are vouges, but idk for sure. Great car, good luck with it! caddycruiser 02-17-08, 08:34 PM Other than that, how did you enjoy the play Mrs. Lincoln?
Hah! cadillackid64 02-17-08, 08:36 PM Yeah, I can't believe what those rims are going for! mharker 02-17-08, 11:45 PM Hello from Ontario! I dig it man... the rear seat vanity mirrors are killer. Don't sweat what you paid... obviously you had to get a US car cuz these are few and far between in Canada right now. You should never sell that car, but if you had to there would be buyers. arnauts 02-18-08, 07:21 AM Like I said, it took me the most of 6 months to find one, and it was just brought into Canada. I am certain it would hot have lasted a week longer if I hadn't pulled the trigger on it. I like the idea of replacing the coolant tank, it's stained and looks dirtily inconsistant with the rest of the car. The spare tire in the trunk is mounted on an original rim, and it has a bit of wear, so I think they were on there for awhile before they were changed off.
The LT1 really accentuates how much of a unforgiving slug the 368 really was, it wouldn't go past 115 km/h without serious effort, which made highway driving unbearable. The 425 is overall a much more pleasing engine than the 368, but the LT1 is hands down superb. I can actually logically consider passing a slow moving vehicle now :) jayoldschool 02-18-08, 11:04 AM If you like it now, just wait until you get that PCM reprogrammed:thumbsup: nick stratta 02-18-08, 11:47 AM Hi there - nice car, welcome to the world of '93-96 Brougham ownership!
Options other's ahve not mentionned would be suspension and heavy duty towning/ cooling packages. - an bigger radiator, trans cooler, etc.
I can't remember the option codes but others will.
The codes tag is a paper label under the trunk lid. Look for FE1 or FE2 - which is the standard or heavy duty suspension.

If you got the carb rebuilt on the 425, it would give the LT1 a run for it's money. ;) I~LUV~Caddys8792 02-18-08, 06:00 PM Nice car! Might not be long until I'm in your little fleetwood owners club. ;) arnauts 02-18-08, 07:13 PM So here's a picture of the SPID:

Get a shop to powdercoat your rear drums, that is what I did and it makes a huge difference aesthetically. | |
