Need a diagram for this (4T80E) transmission of a 1998 Cadillac Deville. So I can locate the TCC sylenoid,Is it under valve body by the pan or this one is someplace else? That I have to take down the trany?
Let me know

I don't have a diagram and I'm not 1000% sure but I believe the trans has to come out for that, which means dropping the cradle. I could be wrong on this but I'm pretty sure I'm not.
When I had the TCC solenoid replaced on my '99 Concours, one mechanic told me that it's possible to get to it by removing the axle shaft and lowering the transmission just a bit, but that it's best to remove the transmission completely, which is what was done. I don't have a diagram, but as it was explained to me the solenoid is buried inside the transmission. It was a two day job to get the transmission out, torn down, part replaced, and transmission reinstalled.

The TCC solenoid is behind the transmission side cover.
The cradle has to drop about 9-12 inches to get access.
I just posted a picture here:

I dropped mine using 14mm rods. See pic.
