hey guys just checking to see if anyone has removed a kit and harness and want to sell... with all the confusion on here i want to be sure i have the proper components.

i have a 2000 DTS w/BOSE... onstar, chimes, back up sensors, steering wheel controls, etc...

i would prefer to keep the chimes and wheel controls... not too concerned about OnStar...

also, whats the deal about the volume being set on the stock head unit prior to pulling the stock unit out... someone said if you leave it on a certain volume it has an impact on the power of the amp and all that... can someone please clarify... thanks

another also... if anyone has a complete plug and play they want to sell that would be great... i want an in dash monitor... no need for nav, just the screen and that it play dvd's, cd's, etc...

sorry if i seem like a noob... but i haven't touched car stereo's since they used to use the standard 21 pin gm harnesses...

if you need a wiring harness for a 2000 deville for aftermarket headunit go to peripheral.com. they make a kit for the deville that has its own chime though. it sounds the same and works when you leave the keys in the ignition and when you leave the head lights on. i payed $150. they also make an add on to retain factory steering wheel controls but havent tried it yet. i dont really need it though.

um are you sure its peripheral.com? because when you type that site in it throws you to something else which has to do with computers
