simple question i suppose

to replace the motor, can you pull it or do you have to drop it?

When I replaced mine, I pulled it out the top. Just be careful of the crankcase vent is real close to the firewall. Have you got a motor yet?

I'm looking to do this in the next couple weekends. Is it easier to pull it with the tranny attached? (I don't have an engine yet)

Pull the motor without the trans.
Much easier and a lot more room to avoid all the stuff in the engine bay.
I just put my driveline back in this weekend and it was quite easy to do the motor and trans separately. I did have a forklift to help but it was just my self doing the work.

Boris, are there any 'tricks' that I should know? Do I need to remove the radiator, fenders, or anything like that? Is it easier to start under the car or on top of the engine when removing bolts, wires, etc? When I start, I will take pictures and make a write-up of this...I'm sure other people will want to know the best way to do this. (any tips would be great)

No tricks at all.
Taking the wife out shopping right now but will tell you more when I get back.
