I pulled up behind another car at an intersection and there was some kind of factory test car ahead of me. It had Michigan plates and was completely wrapped in some kind of black shrinkwrap plastic film. The only thing uncovered was the windows and the lights. It was a pretty good sized car and from the shape of the tail lights it appeared to be a Ford product but it had a kind of hump to the roof like a Dodge Magnum. If they have it up here for cold weather test they picked a good time because it's been forty below for about two weeks.
Production version of the Lincoln MKT?

Wrong tail lights. They were triangular and tipped out at the top.
Maybe the Ford Interceptor? Lights are hard to use because most companies black out or add to them to confuse folks even more.

I think it's cool just to see that sort of thing on the roadways. Unless they want to test the vehicle's response to inept drivers there would never be any reason to see that sort of thing i my neck of the woods.

Yea, only reason for one to be around here is to test for its ability to eat pot-holes and go slow.

Probably the new Taurus
Quite a good guess, since there will be an all new '10 model using the same guts as the current one.
Or another Lincoln MKS...or...LOTS of possibilities. Too bad we don't have pictures.
