We just bought a low miles '92. My mechanic has been pulling his hair out to figure out why we still get the rattle. Sounds just like my Kawasaki when it needs front pads.

Anyone now the fix? Thanks

I went through the rattle problem with a 91 Seville. It has the same basic set up as the Allante. After going through new bushings and pins, the rattle was still there. It wound up being excessive clearance between the new pads and the bracket they hang in. It was a combination of the new pads being shorter side to side and the bracket being worn where the pads would hang. Shims solved the problem and the rattle never came back.

That makes perfect sense. We did change caliper bushings.
