Hi Guys,

I just bought an 03 CTS and am very glad that there is such a great community you've got going here. Kudos!!!

I have a very simple question, my 03 came with a 6 CD Changer + Tape, I have "BOSE" tweeters on each side of the windshield so I would assume that the stereo is BOSE as well.

I am hoping that I can get my iPhone going in the car, is this doable with this stereo? (I know I'll need to buy additional equipment). I'm not really into running wires into the stereo like having a tape player thingy, and I heard that FM transmitters suck a$$.

If not and should I have to replace stuff, how hard is it to keep the top portion where I get shown mileage and such while getting rid of the sound stuff below and putting in an after market deck?

Thanks a bunch.

Tom

Well as another 03 owner with the same setup .. you are going to be disappointed. We are a few months behind on setting up the Caddipod and other things like that. We don't have the XM on our radios for the hardware to tap in too.... What others have done is get another radio that is at least an 04 or better that has XM. Every once in a while you can find one out on Ebay for a great price. Then you have a couple of options on getting the ipod setup to work using your factory controls. Do a search for caddipod and see what all has to be done and you will get a better idea.. As far as changing out the bottom area, do a search for carputer and see what the extensive work for that involves.. Changing out the radio is the easiest way but I am not sure what you want to spend or let alone accomplish. Good luck on whichever way you go.. I am probably going to get another radio myself and then just add on the caddipod so that the songs will show on the display, and I can still use my steering wheel controls and such..

Thank you.

I figured I'll probably have to get a newer radio.

I'm also thinking about a good "Monster" FM transmitter.

Cheers
