I'm hearing an intermittent scraping/ brushing noise that seems to come from the front end someplace. It varies with the speed of the vehicle, and worsens when turning right. It lessens when turning left.

Any thoughts? The car has just under 30K miles on the clock.

My lease, and the warranty, both expire this December. I may be buying the car to have something to drive until the CTS coupe becomes available, so I'd like to take care of as much as possible while Cadillac will pick up the tab.

Sounds like it could be a wheel bearing? This one of my Aurora was REALLY bad, but does it sound anything like this?

I would say it could be the bearing or it could just be that your brake pads are worn out. Jack the car up and spin the tires to locate which one it is. Remove the tire and wheel and take a look.

Thanks, but I don't have the proper software to run this.

I had a 96 Jeep that was making that noise and it turned out to be hung-up front calipers. And, my daughter's Saturn was making a constant, speed-related "brushing" noise, like a piece of cardboard was dragging under the car. Jacked it up checked everything, and that turned out to be a bad wheel bearing (not cv joint).
