I have a 99 Deville and I bought another radio w/cd from another 99 Deville. Does the theft system affect this year? If I try it and I have to have the theft lock, will I be able to put the old radio back in and not have to deal with the theft system? Is there any way to defeat the theft system?

you have no external amp so while it will power up, it will produce no sound
