ok. found the car. now i need a motor.

thought about 500ci. lots of power and potential, but gas hog and no a/c, gas is expensive in vegas and with it being 120in the summer ac is a must.

455 / 427/ 454/ dont know too much about them.

chevy 350/383. nice easy swap. lots of aftermarket parts.

so basically what i need is just some help with pickin what would be best.

Car has to be daily driven, would LOVE for it to be a beast in the 1/4, but i do drive outta state a lot, so need good gas mileage.

HELP !!!!! thanks in advance

Get a Chevy 350. Preferably an LT1 350 from a 94-96 Cadillac for power and modern-ness. But you may want to consider issues like optispark and oil consumption. Or get a Vortec 350, which is just about as good, slightly less power, but fewer issues. Or just get a plain ol' 350 from a 90-93 Cadillac or other b/d bodies of that era.

Big blocks really aren't practical anymore because of gas and modern-ness. It's okay for modding, racing, and general fun, but not for your daily driver.

Good luck! Post pics!

thanks!. seems like 350's are flooding the market here in vegas on craigslist.

think im just going to get a 350 and stroke it out. my uncle says i can get a reliable close to 400 or above hp out of one, with a tuned q-jet and some work.

what about blowers, its most likely going to be full carbed but ive always wanted to have a caddy with a under hood blower. Do You know of any, that will fit under the stock hood, or maybe a rear mount turbo ?

If you're going to do a blower, might have to cut the hood for the hood scoop. I wanted to do an LT1 swap in my 90 Brougham, but don't have the funds or patience. So I'm swapping an Olds 350, which is a direct swap.
