I got a CD player from the junk yard from a car that had been totaled out. when I tried to install it in my car it said the theft lock was on. Can anyone tell me how to get the codes for this radio? The junk yard did give me the vin# on my invoice for the car the CD player came out of. HELPPPPPPPPP

The theftlock on those radios is a VIN learn, not a punch in code.
You have to use a scan tool to clear the theftlock. No magic numbers.
Might cost you .5 labor at a dealer.
Doesn't take too long.

Thanks, so what I need to do is install the radio back in the car and then take the car to the dealer for them to use the scan tool to clear the theftlock? Have you guys done any over at Lindsay where you work at? If so I may bring it over them to have it done because I'm in Va. I called Moore Cadillac about this and they sound like they didn't have any ideal what I was talking about. Is the theft lock code always activated o these radio. I was told that on some they are activated on other they are not but I really don't know if that's the true or not because this came from one of the guys at the junk yard where I got the radio.
