well a couple of nights ago while I was asleep my alarm went off, the funny thing is, I didn't even know I had an alarm. So I went and turned the key in the door and the alarm stopped. ever since then the car has been acting funny. the alarm went off this morning again for no reason. also sometime the interior lights won't turn off not when I lock the doors and close them. anyone know whats goin' on? it's a 94 fleetwood
thanx,
steve

It sounds like your door jamb switch is shot, most likely the driver's door. Try shooting some WD-40 on/in the switch and press it rapidly a buncha times (like button mashing on a game controller) then lock everything up and see if it happens again. If so the switch might be gone and you'll have to replace it.

I think on the 94's they incorporated the door jamb switch into the lock mech (the holes for the door jamb switches are still there.....). Makes it a pain to get to.

If I can ever find my FSM after this move I can be sure....

Like DopeStar said if you can get the door apart and spray some oil in and work all the door switches over and over till it stops doing it. Any other notable oddities like the lights on when you are driving or flickering?
