| View Full Version : Another speculation... 70eldo 01-23-08, 11:17 AM The coupe could have a V too? I hope so! Dr. Design 01-23-08, 12:47 PM Hello, This has already been confirmed. They will have a CTS-V Coupe shown next year. Thank you, Dr. Design D3 Cadillac The coupe could have a V too? I hope so! AERO1 01-23-08, 02:02 PM Let's hope that the CTS-V coupe will weigh much less than the sedan version. I can't believe that a mid-size car like the CTS-V sedan weighs as much if not more than a Mercedes or BMW. With the Corvette, the engineering team does everything they can to shave the curb weight, but the CTS-V seemed to gain a lot more weight over the 04-07 CTS-V. I guess they just topped on as much crap as they could to the car without a care as to the curb weight. If the CTS-V weighs 4200-4300 lbs. at least give it 600+ hp so that the car won't feel so heavy. At that weight and with that size engine, god knows what the gas guzzler tax is going to be on the window sticker. GM did an amazing job with the car, but the weight is a big factor for fuel economy and acceleration, etc. I am still going to get the 2009 CTS-V, but my biggest problem with the car is it's weight! SG HiTechRV 01-23-08, 02:08 PM I would not worry a lot about acceleration ;-) SLPR 6.0L 01-23-08, 02:11 PM The coupe concept looks great! Looking forward to the V HiTechRV 01-23-08, 02:16 PM Now tht we will have a V Coupe, I am hoping for a V convertible. That I could not resist. 70eldo 01-23-08, 02:58 PM Do some photoshop on the coupe to imagine the convertible. Thanks for the confirmation on the coupe-V. Sorry bringing it up again. BuckeyeInNC 01-23-08, 03:27 PM So, being "shown next year" makes a CTS-V Coupe a possibility as early as . . . . 2011? The CTS-V for 2009 The CTS-V Coupe for 2010 The CTS-V Coupe for 2011? The CTS Coupe is was "shown" as a concept car. Dr. Design 01-23-08, 04:16 PM I would look at 2010 model introduced in late 09. I mean, it is possible, but I was just wondering if they would do it. Haven't followed the media lately and was pleasantly surprised about the "reveal" on this forum. Katshot 01-23-08, 07:27 PM I think the coupe will be right on the heals of the sedan. I hear it's even better looking than the sedan but if the pictures I saw are the real-deal, I'm not feeling it personally. Anybody have some links to pics? Dr. Design 01-23-08, 08:23 PM Here is a picture of the coupe. http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r134/ctd3rnd/Picture002.jpg The car looks great in person! Don't like the side or even rear 3/4 view for that matter. Looks okay from the front and front 3/4 view but that's about it IMO. And what's with that stupid-looking vent? gothicaleigh 01-25-08, 01:22 PM http://www.8thdaycreations.com/images/Cadillac/CTC-concept.jpg Just got my latest Autoweek and don't you know there's pictures in there. And what's with that stupid-looking vent? Pay no attention to those vents. The beancounters at GM will make sure that they are shared with the sedan on the production version. Pic might be a little big, but you get the picture. I don't know why, but I love how the exhaust tip is roughly the shape of the Cadillac Crest. The vent isn't so much the issue (although I'm tired of them showing up on virtually every new Cadillac) as the way they tie it into the belt line. Looks stupid IMO. And as for the exhaust, I'd normally say not to worry, that it would NEVER make it to production but then you have the SRT8 Jeep.....so who knows? CVP33 01-25-08, 07:24 PM Love the coupe. And BTW, those are the wheels the sedan should've had. Classy, aggressive, beautiful. concorso 01-26-08, 06:30 PM Love the coupe. And BTW, those are the wheels the sedan should've had. Classy, aggressive, beautiful.Optionally, obviously...Im sure everyone buying a base $30K CTS wants to buy tires for staggered 20"/21" wheels that they can't even rotate... Ross DeVore 01-27-08, 10:26 PM Look at the CTS Sport rims from Sema. Wheels look like these but as 20" all around. JasonAZ 01-27-08, 11:24 PM Hello, This has already been confirmed. They will have a CTS-V Coupe shown next year. Thank you, Dr. Design D3 Cadillac That's great news. I actually love the CTS coupe's design. Just hope they don't change it up too much. But judging from GM's sticking to the Camaro's concept design I think the CTS coupe will stay very close to the concept. Go GM! :yup: 70eldo 01-28-08, 08:59 AM I just had a chat with the Cadillac Dealer. It is confirmed that the CTS-V will be officially launched in Europe, rather than the 10 limited imports of the first 04-05 v-series. Also the Coupe will come to Europe and of course the wagon. Uncertain is the Coupe-V, but the dealer expressed his interest at the European import/planning meeting for 2008-2009. So, if it comes, I will be one of the first in Europe to get hands on the coupe-v! | |
