Hello everybody im new here. Here is my problem, i have a 1995 cadillac deville 4.9L and on thursday i had to replace the rocker arm support, 1 rocker arm and 1 rocker arm pivot, everything went on fine car ran good till yesterday it started tapping and hesitating again, so i take the valve cover off again and another rocker arm pivot has snapped off.Can anybody tell me why this happened? Need help asap THANKS

That's something I've never heard of before about the 4.9. How many miles is on it? You could try doing a search on this forum. My first thought is high mileage fatigue.

it has 178,000 i believe

Check the pushrods on that cylinder, it may be bent.

All push rods are straight
