: What Does This Mean

I'm a Cadillac Owner's Forum newbie. (joined Nov last yr) Recently, in a reply to one of my posts the following was contained at the bottom of the reply
"CAUTION:
---what may have been stated in the above post may be a "QUIP" reader discretion is advised---"

Can someone tell me what this means? What is a "QUIP reader?" Why the need for discretion? Maybe it's meant as a joke and I didn't "get it".

Thanks,

Is a quip and a quefe the same thing?

I don't know. A quip is a witty or clever remark. It doesn't make sense in that sentence. Since it is in caps, perhaps this is some sort of internet-speak?

for real? At least he warned you.

I knew what a quip means. I was just looking for an excuse to use "quefe" in a sentence.

Yeah, it would have made more sense if the uber-witty shmegmahead typed "Quip",

It's a signature and it still makes no sense.

You're right. I looked up CadillacSTS2003's profile and it's in his signature.

I'm thinking it's meant to humor.

Thanks to all for your responses.

Yes... it's nothing more than a "joke." He got that from me after I called one of his comments a quip. He evidently found that word so amusing that he thought to put it into his sig. He's just being... something. I just can't say it anymore. lol.

Quefe is funnier than quip

It reads better if a comma or better yet a period is added...

I believe he is making a joke at AMGoff's expence with every post he makes, as well as anyone who doesn't get it. Points for the double whammy...If we could still give points. Well done J! I had no idea the extent of the joke until AMGoff spilled his own beans...Topshelf!
