TC-STS-V

My STS-V is an 06 with 17,500 miles. I will have it two years next month. This week I have been been using the slaptick in comp mode around town. I usually get 13.0 mpg in sport / comp mode but have increased it to 13.3 shifting myself.
Has anyone else noticed the same thing? Can you beat the computer?????

no, but you need to get it tuned. Youll see 1-3mpg increase as they run pig-rich.

I think you can "beat" the computer at the mpg game because the computer isn't playing it. Shifts are held too long to maximize mpg. You could probably do 2nd gear starts too.

Have you actually seen that? My experience with chip retunes/swaps in other cars has resulted in power increases but not mpg increases. And if you've experienced this increase, what retune did you do?
Most of my driving is street driving to and from work. Nothing on the highway. Going by the car's computer it shows I'm getting about 14.5 in the city with an average speed of roughly 25 mph.

Ditto. Nearly identical mileage and average speed for me too on my all in-town commute. Sometimes I get as high as 16 but it's rare.

So far my city / highway seems to be 16.5.
