Don't know about the speakers. But look out for the lekaing rear tailgate. And the "service stability system" on the DIC. Just remember the 2004 is the first model year. It is actually a great vehicle. An easy solution to the leaking tail gate - remove the carpet just in the jack area, drill two drain hole in the bottom and Ryno Line it. For the "Service the Stabilty System". The problem is the system can not detect which direction the steering whell is pointed due to a defective steering positioning sensor. Like I said eariler, GREAT CAR! Best of luck to ya!!

We've had our 2004 SRX for 9 months. No problems with the rear tailgate or steering warning. I replaced the factory radio with all the computer information screens with the Pioneer Z-1 navigation unit. Look at spending about $2000 for the new Z-2 with all the add on's to include the rear camera, bluetooth, ipod, sirius/xm radio.
Just finished a 2000 mile trip up in the U.P. of Michigan with the AWD. Excellent ride...only problem is the front passenger running light keeps going out. We had the car checked out and warrantied for the 100K mile certified warranty before purchase.
I have a set of new front custom seat covers with headrests (w/Cadillac crest) that I'd like to get rid of. Black/Gray, paid $200. Wife won't let me cover up the heated leather. :thepan:
Check with your dealer if there is a recall fro your running light. We had some of the sockets changed due to a recall as the bulb blew several times. Just cant remeber if it was the running light or something else.
