2006 STS V8 1SG When I use the manual mode for shifting, I find that when I down shift the gear shift has a slight sticking point about halfway in the return to the center position. This does not happen when doing the down shift; only when returning the shifter to the center position. If you downshift and release the grasp of the shifter it will return top this sticking point and slowly return to the center point. This is a constant thing. The up shift works very smoothly in both directions.

I took this to the dealer and was told the following on my service invoice: 13321 “Compared with new shifter and same year and model vehicle all operate exactly the same way. No abnormal condition observed thus no repair available.” :banghead:

The service rep said the tech tried this in other cars on their lot and got the same thing. I personally did not try other cars. :hmm:
