I've got an 04 SRX that my wife and I love. We got it used a few months back and now that winter is here I wanted to get some nice mats for it. I ordered the Husky fitted mats for the front, and since it is the rear wheel drive version that is what I ordered. I received the mats and the driver's side fit perfectly, but the passenger side was way to big? I called Husky to verify part numbers, and I had the correct mats, and from reading about the differences with AWD I think I have an AWD floor stamping in my SRX? The passenger side has a bulge in it and looks to be narrower than normal. Has anyone else run across this? I've checked and the tranfercase and other AWD components are not there, and it is definetely only rear wheel drive. Any feedback would be helpful.

Thanks,

Well, that's interesting. I guess you can chalk it up to it being a first year snafu in 04. BTW, welcome!

I didn't know the floorpans were different.

Supposed to be! Smaller passenger footwell w/ AWD.

chkline: The RW vs AWD is different as you have stated. Just for grins and giggles see what the RPO code or SPID codes as they call them are. You should find a label under the cover at the rear of the vehicle where the third row headrests are stowed. Our '05 which was AWD had MX5 ALL WHEEL DRIVE & MX7 ALL WHEEL DRIVE in the third row numbers.
What color are your mats?

While you have the cover up be sure to remove the jack cover, if you have not already done so, to check for water. Many have had water get into the jack storage area.

I just took a look and mine has MX0 for the RPO code. These mats are tan and hopefully I can exchange them for the AWD ones! Thanks for all the feedback.

OR...hopefully not...a rebuilt AWD without the AWD drive train.
Have a dealer run the vin for original specs.
