so what ever happened with the ported/polished heads? ever get them put on? whats the word?

The heads from XMS went back. A local shop did some work on my stock heads, pulled an extra 15% cfm from the heads on a flow bench. I feel the step up in life, but going to wait till the track to start advertising anything. Car's been back for a week now.

what did the local shop charge you all said and done? curious to see the results, you ran a 14.6 without juice last year, right?

14.69 was best, on a very cold day as I recall.

Was about $1000 for the actual bench work. Then it's still a case of someone pulling the heads, doing the time serts, etc. Overall, unless you're desperate for more, I wouldn't do the head work until you're having to pop the heads anyways, ie, blown a headgasket. It would likely be 1700 or so just to pull the motor, pop the heads, time sert, and do the new heads on. Then tack in the 1000 of work at the head shop, and you're looking at 2700 or so. Do I think we have 80-100 horses? Nope, not bloody likely unless I'm not feeling it. 30-40 would be a better estimate. I'll hit the track probably friday night if its open and at least semi cool. We'll see what it runs.
