Luke,

How much for the "Phalic Commander" Shift Knob?

John had on eon his car at VIR. I drove it, and was surprised how much the added weight made the shifting experience improve. While the looks are subjective the feel is definately improved.

Here's another picture for your collection Luke.

Just for the record, This is in the stock wheel with a run flat and it fits well. I have heard of some people saying it sticks up a little but it seems to be pretty flush with the cover over the spare.

Seems a bit Stupid to have a run flat as a spare but it was the extra tire I had!

Been Happy with everything I have ordered from Luke and there has been a bit of stuff

Awesome machining and ribbed for her pleasure (the o-rings).

Kidding aside, this is the one I have and very happy with it. The machining is top notch, I sure love the shift pattern they milled into the top of the knob. As you pointed out, the extra weight seems to help the shifts.

I'd rather not. Their service people are really nice and they are one mile from my house. I want to avoid switching dealers. I know you can fight that a mod only voids the warranty if it caused the damage, but I dont want to have to fight that battle every time.

I would have to agree with that statement, even if you like them, they are not getting the job done. FYI, I stopped my my Cadillac dealership here in Arizona a couple of hours ago and chatted with the SM. I mentioned that my diff (I'm on my 3rd) is grinding very loudly while making the slow turns in either 1st gear or reverse.....(reverse is louder). Clutches are bad......he said bring it in, they'll verify and replace it no problem. (My car is, shall I say.....far from stock). The diff situation is so bad he said "oh you're coming in for your 5000 mile diff checkup.....?" GM doesn't even want the olds ones back any longer.

Luke,

I have a question, if we buy any mods from you such as the UUC shifter and bushing kit, will you install them and would it be covered under warranty if done at the shop ?

Just curious, since I am only about 60 miles max away from you!

Thanks,

Thanks,

We install everything we sell, all aftermarket performance parts we sell we stand behind our labor and product as far as the rare problem with any mod we install. with that said they would not be covered under any GM warranty but we would not deny a GM warranty issue because of an aftermarket mod...(see what I mean?)

Get the leather one it is a very nice product, and matches the stainless look on the steering wheel.

I did the UUC shifter, bushings and this knob all at once. My car only had 1,500 miles on it so the stock one wasn't worn out. It made a nice difference and I would do it again.

It's not so bad, it stays out of the way when you are throwing the shifter around. It's enough to bash the climate control with your knuckles, hitting the arm rest too would make me :alchi: all the more! hahaha

The UUC does not require a tap and die to reinstall the shifter knob. I have sold hundreds of these and the few (10 or less that I can remember) that have had warranty issues have been handled in a very timely fashion (overnight). reverse engineering always costs less. not sure that these are worth the extra money, but my 2 cents. dont forget to get my poly bushings regardless of which you decide on.

It makes the threads, so you can screw the knob onto the shifter.
On the UUC, the stock knob just slides on and clicks into place. The UUC knob has a set screw.
