My Cat has a huge dent on the gas tank, right on the bottom, like the previous owner backed onto something. Even when I fill my tank up, it barely goes over 3/4 full, so I'm probably losing about 2 gallons of capacity. It's not a huge deal, but considering the sorry gas mileage I would like to get that dent out so I can fill completely up. Short of replacing the gas tank, does anyone have any ideas of how to pop it out? And I've already tried the suction cup thing, it's not smooth enough for that. Someone mentioned that compressed air may do it, but I kinda doubt it, the tank seems pretty thick. Any ideas will be pondered....lol

ummm I doubt the plastic would want to go back to its original shape... its not like metal, it acts in a totaly different way so you might have to get a new tank. I am not sure where the opening on the tank is but you might be able to take it off, drain it and then pound the dent out from the inside... that way you will give it good cleaning too...
