So, when I push the panic button in, why is the alarm so puny sounding? It wouldn't even scare a cat off, much less an intruder. I tested out the actual alarm with the trusty window down, lock button test and it was a lot louder. Is there any way to reproduce this loudness with the panic button? Or is something wrong with mine? Thanks!

I use it for finding my car at WalMart.

Have you let it go off for more than 30 seconds? 30 seconds is probably overkill, but you want to make sure. My old car use to start off quiet, but then go full blast after a few seconds... I think it was a convenience thing in case you accidently pushed the button... Though it doesn't seem to convenient if you really need to use the panic button!

Under $350. :)
There's barely enough room for the 3-chime train horn under the hood. The compressor's in the trunk.

on the 05 and the V if you HOLD DOWN the horn button for several seconds then it will honk softly then after like 2 cycles it starts to scream loud.
