I decided to go with the staggered tires on my 05 v8, just in case a dealer blames any warranty problem on changing front tire sizes. I bought Goodyear Respose Edges all around about a month ago. I drove from Illinois to California, went to a car wash, and found a large hole in the inside sidewall. The car wash didn't take responsibility but tried to find a replacement tire for me. Turns out the 235/60 18 Response Edge is on backorder undefinitely. There are none in the Goodyear system, and Tirerack thinks it could be up to 4 months before they are available. I found a single new tire on Ebay which should be delivered in a couple of days.

Lesson here is that if you are thinking of replacing your tires soon, don't plan on staggered tires with the Goodyears.
