As an old married man, I didn't get much.
I got a nice new jacket to wear when I go out, no more piling on 3 old ones that don't look good.
I needed that bad.
I got 2 DVDs that I have wanted for a long time to finish out my director's edition set of... dare I say it... the Star Trek Motion Pictures. :D

Oh and a $25 Best Buy card... followed by another $25 Amazon from my Mommy :D
I need to get some more DVDs to feed my addiction.
Still need Die Hard 4 and a few others to finish out some of my sets.

Hope everyone had a great one!

I consider myself old because I can't stand the music kids listen to these days and the clothes they wear... well, it is a shame more people don't have mirrors in their homes :D
I think that qualifies me as "old" based on the defenition I had when I was younger. ;)
My transportation is utilitarian instead of "cool" and I go to bed early and wake up early (when I can).
If I stay up until 2 am it is because something is wrong, not because I am out having fun.

Plus as a 12 year husband and a 5 year dad I have come to realize that Christmas is about the kid and I just go buy myself what I want when I want it so the only fun I really get out of Christmas is making my son happy and trying to surprise my wife. I did good this year.
I guess that isn't a really healthy attitude, I would have liked to have gotten more out of it, but nothing tangible... maybe a kiss on the cheek and "honey, you look tired... why don't you go take a nap?".
Instead I got, "hey, watch the kid, I am going to go sleep... wake me up at 2!".

I got exactly what I asked, which was pretty easy for my Dad (we draw names in my family and he got me) since I e-mailed the URL for the two items I wanted. We're not real big on surprises in my family. From a practical standpoint, it's much easier to give someone exactly what they want:

http://www.gdwriter.q45.org/WEB500-CADILLAC-WAY.jpg

I have a lot of other car signs, along with license plates, on my garage wall, but most are Chevy or Impala. I needed a Cadillac one.

I also asked for this Patriots shirt since it was more expensive than I'd buy for myself, but still within the price limit of my family's gift exchange:

When I was a kid, my grandmother would always include a gift of treats for the cat, so I've continued that tradition. Hoover and Pepper gave their cousins Peace and Quiet (my sister's cats) and Buster and Patches (my parents' cats) jars of Pounce treats. Pepper got a jar of Pounce from Buster and Patches, and Hoover got a set of tennis balls, which he really enjoyed (that and the wrapping paper):

The Thomas the Tank Engine and Cars toys I gave my niece and nephew went over big. Among other things, I gave my teenage nieces OSU Beavers mugs, which they really liked. Laura is planning to go to OSU.

All in all, it was a great Christmas at my house (http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-forums-lounge-member-introductions/126650-so-whos-traveling-whos-hosting-relatives.html).

I got Opera Lights for my car. Thats right, I found a place in Lombard, IL (about 5 miles from my house) that does the roof work for Heritage Cadillac. I talked to them over the phone today and he has a pair of brand new lights reserved just for me :yup:. I'm going tomorrow morning and picking them up. I will post some pictures as soon as i get them installed.

I've wanted a better digital camera for a while, so I got a Canon EOS Rebel XTi and a couple of nice lenses. Some caddy shirts and items from eBay that the Mrs. picked up for me. And I'm buying new eyes on Thursday. (Epi-Lasik surgery). I got the Mrs. a couple hundred carats of various gemstones and jewelry since she really likes them sparklie things. She also got about a dozen items she picked out from Vicky's Secret.. :)

Still owe my 13 year old a Wii, if they ever stay in stock long enough for me to buy one. The 2 year old granddaughter made out like a bandit, as usual. We helped buy Melissa's daughter and son-in-law a new heater for their place. We bought a water buffalo through Heifer International for all the family members outside of immediate. I also got a box of chocolate covered cherries. All in all a good time was had by all.

And I thought I was the only one who felt this way!!

Well, at least my transportation is a 94 Fleetwood, in a sense it is utilitarian, but I drive a ton and I need a 6 pass car (no way I am driving a minivan!). My lovely wife has the 454 Burb. Its utility right? Sure is fun doing what it is made to do.

We end up staying up till 2am just to get time alone and get up at 6 to 7 for work and the oldest off the school. We are homeschooling the other 3 due to an awful school district here. He probably won't stay in much longer either, just need some homeschooling curriculums for them now.

Married for 16+ years with 4 little ones to keep us busy for years to come!

I consider myself old because I can't stand the music kids listen to these days and the clothes they wear... well, it is a shame more people don't have mirrors in their homes :D

I guess getting older beats the alternative eh?

I forgot to mention my pre-Christmas gift, I got a new 19" widescreen LCD flat panel for my computer at work.
I got it mainly so I could watch movies while I eat my lunch, much better than the 15" old school flat panel I had.
:D
Shhhhh! Don't tell James!
:histeric:

Seriously though, it is much easier to do a lot of stuff with the better monitor. I can see what I am typing and looking at the service manual is much easier.
Thanks to my Wife for giving me some money to spend on myself! :D

It was $200 at Costco.
It is almost too big to be honest.
At least for the distance I have it from where I sit at my desk. I love the widescreen format.
I have been eyeballing the big ones for a while, this one had a good price on it so I nabbed it.
I think it is a viewsonic.
I saw a 42" LCD TV for just over $1,000, if I had it I would probably buy one. So cheap compared to what they used to be.
