Ranger 12-22-07, 08:43 PM The difference between the 270/275 and the 300 is the intake cams (and PCM). As for 270 to 275, you couldn't tell the difference so why bother. The simple answer to your question is no. bigrob19771977 12-23-07, 12:18 AM thanx again ranger. maybe an performance exhaust is my answer Ranger 12-23-07, 02:00 AM It has been said that there are some performance gains to be achieved by that. clarkz71 12-23-07, 10:07 AM The difference between the 270/275 and the 300 is the intake cams (and PCM). As for 270 to 275, you couldn't tell the difference so why bother. The simple answer to your question is no. In 95 the increase from 270 to 275(vin Y) & 295 to 300 (vin 9) was in the change from the 2 piece metal intake to the one piece "plastic" intake used. Also there are no mouse holes or phenolic plates as they changed to the external EGR system & valve. CadillacSTS2003 12-23-07, 10:17 AM plan wrong man if you have a Concourse you already have the high HP engine (295) BlackCaddy87 12-24-07, 11:14 AM my 95 concours is the 275 version clarkz71 12-24-07, 11:33 AM He's right Jason, perhaps you should Goggle it next time.:thepan: The '95 Concours offers a bevy of luxury and performance features as standard equipment - most notably , the aforementioned Northstar engine. In the Eldorado Touring Coupe and Seville Touring Sedan (STS), the Northstar is powered by 300 horses. In the Concours, however, the 4.6-liter DOHC V8 is a bit tamer - yielding 275 hp (five more than in '94) and 300 lb.-ft. CadillacSTS2003 12-24-07, 02:37 PM ok i just read up my apologies apparently when the n* went standard in the Deville in 96 the base Deville was given the 275 hp and the concourse bumped up to 300 in answer to your ? though being yours is a 94 its a cake walk, swap the cams and have a chip builder such as speed chips build a custom chip for it to run the 275 hp with the 300 hp wilder cams Zorb750 12-24-07, 08:13 PM Concours. It means "Tour" or "Parade" approximately. It's not Concourse. bigrob19771977 12-24-07, 11:53 PM thanx for the ideas. as far as the hp discussion the way i understand it the northstar was an option on the 94/95 concours, as i've seen a 94 concours with the 4.9. which was also standard engine for the base deville until 96.i suppose to keep the deville under the eldos and sevilles they rated the concours at 270 hp in 94. how much jack will i look to spend for cam and custom chip? | |
