Any Ideas on when Ipod integration for the 2008 STS will be available?

It won't be, from GM. Our accesories Mgr sid that GM isn't developing anything for that radio because it's on its way out. For 2005 it was the latest and the greatest, but technology moves fast and now its "Old School". The aftermarket developers are of the same opinion, plus it is very difficult to work with.

My 2005 and now my 2008 have AV jacks inside the console. My wife, who occasionally drives my car, has an iPod and I bought a cable adapter (Circuit City or Best Buy?) that allows it to be played through the Bose. She likes to listen to 'her' music and she has also downloaded 'books-on-tape' which we listened to on long trips. Downside is that the iPod cannot be controlled though the Bose screen and you must use the iPod itself, which is not convenient. It would be better if an interface were provided to allow iPod (and others) to be left plugged in and tuned through the touch screen. Maybe on the next iteration.
