My 05 SRX has a big problem with the headlamps. If i turn on the lamps without ignition they regulate to a normal high. If i turn on ignition, they change to highest position and no more regulation is there. The next service is scheduled in januar and i have no time yet to bring it in service. Does anybody knows a fix for that problem?
Can i pull out a wire to cacel the regulation and the headlamps looks down?

Thanks for help and sorry for mistakes!

Itīs not a reply it`s another question.
Anybody knows the place where the or these sensors are located in SRX.
Perhaps if i pull out one my headlamps move down.

Pontiac: Are you talking about an automatic leveling system for the headlamps? If so, I do not think it is even an option in the US. As john d said, we are not ignoring you. It seems no one has an answer. Can anyone check European technical service bulletins?

@ john d
and
MortnCyn

thanks for your answers, i mean a automatic leveling system for the headlamps. Iīm surprised that there is no system in U.S. SRX.

Normaly, if i drove downhill the headlamps turn upwards and if i drove uphill it turn the lamps down.

Now it turns only high, so that the other cardrivers on road near me are not really happy about the bright light of the SRX. I see everything.

@MortnCyn: Did you know an internet adress where i can find the: European technical service bulletins?

thanks pontiac

Yeah, they don't do that in the US.
We have some cars that have an option to move the lamps left and right as you turn based on vehicle speed but I know you European guys have had lights that move up based on vehicle speed to light further down the road.
I can't help you really because in our market that isn't done.
Sometimes I wish we had that feature here, but we don't.

thanks pontiacGuten Morgen Pontiac! There are some sites in the US that keep track of TSB's (Technical Service Bulletins) but I have no knowledge of any site for European TSB's.

Thanks again for your answers.
I give up here.
In januar itīs time for the 2nd service. The non working leveling of the headlamps is under warranty, so my dealer should fix it.

@MortnCyn: hey perfekt german!

I wish all merry christmas and a happy new year.

Thanks again, pontiac.
