So in Europe very normal, but i think the Catera is never build with an Diesel engine right ?

Its an strait 6 cylinder 2.5 DTI (Diesel Turbo Injection) (Common rail Diesel) from BMW/Steyer with 350Nm torq at 1750 R.p.m, its delivered with an 5 speed Manuel or with an 5 speed automatic (witch i prefer ;) )

top speed 215km/h and very fast to 100km/h (60 MPH):D

Look at the RPM ;)

Sorry to say, but you are right. There were no diesel Cateras. I recently wrote that I wished we had a TDI. Is the car in the pictures and video yours? Please post pictures of the exterior and the engine.

Has anyone ever attempted to do a swap over here? That would be great if it were possible...........

Disel will rock our worlds before it all quiets down... I bet you will see even more hybrids and maybe even Diesel Hybrids

I have heard some negative moments as noise, engine over heat with all results coming out all this issues, the problems with turbo especially with the cars 10 years or older, the problems with the pumps, expensive service and very expensive repairs. But there are very positive moments as long life resource, power and fuel economy. I like a diesel becouse it's a very economical engine and it's saving money :)
I'd buy this 2.5 TD Catera-Omega if it would be possibly :)

I have two diesel engines (X20DTH 2.0 DTI 16V) for sale in Michigan. One is a 1997 for parts and one is a 1998 that is pretty complete. Please contact me if you are interested in buying them. These are probably the only two diesel engines for the Omega/Catera that you will find in North America.
