Seems like alot of the people on this forum are men. Assumeing most women have smaller feet. Does anyone find the gas and brake pedal too close together, especially with boots on ?

I have an 06 AWD. With the pedals adjusted all the way to the floor, the left edge of my sole hooks the right edge of the brake pedal.

Anyone hear of a pedal revision before I call dealer, or remove pedal and weld 1" to the left ?

Thanks
David

I tend to agree with you particularly with boots on. My advantage is that I brake with my left foot and have for years (other than on stick shift). I also think the brake pedal is too small. Like you, I would move it left and also make it larger. I installed an aftermarket pedal over the existing pedal. You can see it in this pic.

I am afraid on a panick stop, pressing the brake with my left, may push down my right. I currently try to drive with the tip of my shoe.

I don't have any problem with the stock, non-adjustable, pedals on my SRX. Whereas, on my 81 vette, I can't get any shoe onto the gas pedal without the sides getting hung up on the brake and trans tunnel. I have to use only the toe of the shoe on the gas, reaching under the brake.

Adjustable pedals - 11.5 foot. Only problem I had was when wearing a "walking boot" pre- and post - achilles tendon repair. (Don't ask.:D)

Almost always drive with right shoe off for better "feel" anyway. They're not the greatest pedals in the world... like most vehicles.

I don't find myself having a problem most of the time. Pedal is defenetly too small though.

Nope; it's perfect for heel-toe downshifting. Too bad they forgot the manual. :) Actually, I don't find them too close together at all in my 04, but I'm only a size 9. I wonder if the new interior moved the pedals closer together?
