Hello all, I'm at the 50,000 mile mark so its time to change the coolant. I would like to do it myself, but I have bought the service manual yet and probably won't until after the holiday season. My questions are, are there bleed screws to expel the air out of the system and where are they?
thank you in advance,

Usually on thermostat housing. Or you might not have one.
Thanks ZO6. I have a '96 vette and I know it had them on the throttle body so I assumed this one did also. Guess I better consider ordering the manual sooner.
thanks,

Alternative to shop manual: a $25 subscription to AllData. Visit www.alldatadiy.com and decide. The cooling system static drain/refill procedure for my '06 Northstar STS on AllData makes no mention of a bleed screw. Given the machine-assisted ("GE47719") drain/refill procedure, which involves more specialized equipment than I can imagine ever having access to*, it seems to me that the only place one should resort to the static drain/refill procedure is in the backwoods of Upper Berzerkistan. A complex cooling system is integral to the Northstar System. I think the Sun has set on the day when layman car owners could service cars like this under their shade trees.
*Damn, another dangling participle. Please deduct 2 points.
Thanks Curious George. I'll check that site out.
