Is there only one position to install the steering wheel? Mine steering wheel is rotated 15-20 degrees off center and the service manager states I must have hit something and a wheel alignment is needed to bring the steering wheel back to vertical.

I had just gotten my 07 SRX V8 back from the dealer. I immediately noticed that the steering wheel was rotated off center when the car was going straight down the road. The cruise control had been repaired so my first thought was that the technician (we use to say mechanic) did not reinstall my steering wheel properly. Speaking with the service manager, he stated that it was a switch down at the bottom of the column near the foot pedals that had been replaced and the steering wheel was never removed (although some fingerprint smudges seem to suggest otherwise)

No I had not hit any pot holes or something. I can’t imagine a hit that would rotate your steering that far out.

Am I getting the correct story or BS? Thanks

Pure BS! Even if you did hit something, it would only be off a fraction of an inch, and then, it would pull to one side. Get a second opinion and document it. Don't be afraid to suggest you may call the zone manager.

Don't suggest you may call the zone manager, open up your cell phone with him standing there and call.
