Just stayed at an Embassy Suites at Niagara Falls. I'd buy a Ginger Ale and share it with a friend. He'd drink out of the glass. Me, out of the bottle. He's laughing, though, so that's good.

The magic of the internet. A hotel or two somewhere in one of the largest countries on Earth has bad practice; someone documents the bad practice, and now everyone everywhere in the country, and probably more than a few in other countries, think that ALL hotels everywhere follow this bad practice. I'm sure I could find some weird/bad practice in some other national service industry as well.

No one said "ALL hotels everywhere follow this bad practice." But from this video, it's clear that SOME do.

Sheesh, that's pretty bad. I hope none of the hotels I stayed at did that. But that's not as bad as I've seen it come. I went to a Denny's in Tampa, FL during a family vacation. As we were sitting in our booth, we could see the part of the kitchen that had the drink fountains and ice cream coolers. There was this one waitress. What she would do is scoop the ice cream into the bowl, then use her bare hands to get a handfull of sprinkles, then she would lick her fingers...every one...then stick her wet fingers into the m&m's and put it on the ice cream, then lick her fingers again. Then she'd grab nuts and then lick her fingers. She wiped her hands on the apron, and took the sunday to the table where no one knew. DISGUSTING!! She would also re-fill soft drinks and take a sip or two before returning it to the customer. ABSOLUTELY GROSS!! She wasn't our waitress, but needless to say, we picked up and left before we gave our orders.

Although I didn't click the link, I read about this elsewhere...WHILE I was out of town and staying in a hotel....fun trip.
Just think of the abominations that go on in your local neighborhood restaurant...
