I own a Concourse -94, last week when I was driving to my work the engine starts knocking real bad. I shut it down. I have finally found out the problem:
It seems that the crankshaft have moved with the result that the flexplate and the bolts for the converter going in to the block. How is this possible???
I can now start the engine but the sound is terrible. Ideas??? Please help!!
I'm from Sweden.

Are you sure one of the flexplate bolts hasn't come loose?

If you believe that you have mechanical problems with the crankshaft, flexplate and torque convertor, based on noise and operation, then your only solution is to remove the engine and/or transmission for repair.
Unfortunately there is no easy solution.
Problem solved!
The flexplate was totally broken from crankshaft.
I could fix it without pulling the engine.
I just wondering. -Why the flexplate broke down?

How could you fix that without removing the engine? Did you just drop the transmission?

You dont need to drop anything. Remove all surounding things, take the bolts off engine-transmission. Unscrew the right transmission hold. Lift the engine and push it over the frame rail, passenger side. Now you get a 2,1/2" gap between the engine and transmission.
