Just a FYI, I have been busy this weekend with the Corsa system in another thread. At the same time I installed a "CURT" trailer hitch with a 2" reciever.
If your shopping check them out. This thing has VERY heavy duty construction and very well made.I t does stick out past the rear bumper and by no means is "hidden". But I wanted it strong and this one is strong. I will post a pic in a few days...

I have a 2008 with sport pkg. The cadillac hitch will not work with rear bumber. Is there a hitch available that does not require notching the bumber?

My 07 has the full sport package. The hitch fit perfectly, NO trim to the rear bumper facia, This hitch does not sit behind the rear facia as does some others, other than the side mounting brackets to the frame, it totally sits below the rear bumper. I placed 1/4" thick rubber grommets between the hitch and the frame bolts to gain just a shade of room. Now the hitch receiver just touches the lower facia of the "sport" rear bumper. I would say the fit it perfect. This unit is also made of 1/4" plate steel where it attaches to the frame, it is strong as hell, and very well made, plus it is powder coated. If desired the powder coating can come in colors other than black...

Hey 73T ........ I'm not an engineer but those rubber grommets scare me.
It would seem that no matter how hard of rubber they are ..their not metal.
I'd be concerned that over time they will flex, then fray, then loosen or break the bolts.
Not a pretty picture.......think about replacing the rubber with metal washers.

Yeah I agree, I will to check them, I intend to do so anyway. I would like to replace the bolts with S.S. I have a Corsa exhaust system on now as well, so access to the bolts is very easy - without dropping the exhaust. The last hitch I put on was rusted between the frame rails and the trailer hitch - YUK so I wanted a small air gap to allow flushing. I will also change to S.S washers once I get the better bolts....

I will post pics soon - you see the entire hitch, it does not sit behind the bumper at all - it sits below. You can no longer see the spare tire. The end if the receiver also sticks out about 2" past the bumper. Not what most would want - but I was going for the strongest hitch option I could find - not that I will tow anything super heavy but I just wanted the security. Come spring I will fashion a "plug" and partial facia to cover some of this up. Oh, FYI - I do not have any issues with rear sensor back-up problems - even when I install the receiver tube ball mount.

Is your SRX a V6 or V8?

I've got the infamous hidden hitch. I have no idea how they ever came up with that name as it's not the least bit hidden.

"IMSMIKE" V8....

I looked at all 5 options, NOhidden Hitch, REESE, GM, Draw-Tite, and Curt. With the design of SRX rear facia and spare tire - no hitch could be hidden - that is for sure. I figured if I can't hide it then look at them all for solid construction. For the SRX I believe materials and design are best with the Curt. As this pic shows though it is not hidden - at all. The good part of that is it is very easy to put in the receiver /pin and attach the chains - plus no trimming to the rear facia. I did not have to trim the heat shields either - I just left them off. :bonkers: Ya I know - but I have a good reason - the Corsa mufflers are so small there is no reason for them. Nothing hot is within serveral inches of the spare - plus the hitch itself is large/tall on the sides where the shields were and I would have had to trim most of it away anyway.
