It snowed here last night and I decided to take a few shots of the car...
she is real dirty so she will likely get a bath tonight but we will see if the weather permits...

In this shot you can see how far the tire sticks out with the H&R Spacers...

These are Kumho Ecsta ASX Ultra High Performance tires.. 245-45/17, and so far they have been good to me especially in fresh snow. Tongue

Well I was gonna go wash her before I took them but I think its too damn cold and the doors will freeze if I try that so...
How is she handling? I am definitely having trouble with deep snow... deeper then lets say 4-5in..she has some issues other then that anything around 2 is not a problem at all.. .

Well these are somewhat early pictures, I think we had about 6-8 when I took the pictures and also the place where its parked there is almost no snow but everywhere else it was quite deep. We got even more in the afternoon so I think we are at right around 10 at the moment and it stopped snowing so now its all ice everywhere... Talk about getting stuck every couple feet eehhh..!?

That is certainly good especially when you are trying to find it under a couple of feet of snow... LOL Got any more pictures?, btw how is your car on the snow with those wide ass wheels that you got?

Naw no more pics too depressing haha. The 18's are in the house and 17 back on the car. Last year was such a mild winter i didn't bother replacing the worn down all season tires, now i'm looking into getting 16" rims and winter tires for the rear (cheaper then just buying 17" winter tires)

maybe its a stupid question, but i am normally on the CTS side.

if your in illinois why do you have a opel? is that just a cadillac with opel badges? why in the world would you replace a cadillac emblem for an opel emblem?

i really like your car! i think it looks great except... for the opel emblems. the caddy emblems really make the catera pop in my opinion.

and for all the people who see the car and are not familiar with cateras or opel omegas i bet they think its a geo or kia or something. opel makes a cheezy logo.

just my opinion...

Well I was trying to go after the unique look and given that the Catera was a re-badged Opel I guess it only made sense to rename it back to the original. I wanted people to stare and drool over it when they see it because cateras are rare as they are and Opels are unheard of on this side of the world so...thats why

:cool2: I got a lot of looks and people do ask a lot of questions about it... and that wasn't the case when it had the Caddy emblems on it. In fact I feel as if people actually hate the caters because they were not true cadillacs... Just my opinion...also how many people can say they got or have seen an open in the states... :hmm: thats right not many...

I think the Opel re-re-badging looks great. Both the Opel logo and grille are a cleaner look, IMHO. The "exclusivity" is cool too. I would even remove the "Catera" from the back as well to complete the conversion.

Yep the rear CATERA logo is going as soon as I find a replacement panel so that I can start messing with mine... a little bondo and some paint should finish the job... my summer wheels already come with OPEL logos so I am set there, I still need to get one for the engine and one for the steering wheel... I will keep ya all updated...
