: For the men, again. What's the best type of bathroom reading material?

I like to read when I'm dropping the kids off at the pool. How about you?

My favorite reads are car brochures....the more pages the better! Otherwise I'm apt to grab a Motor Trend or Car and Driver.

I just have to say that I've never sat down on the bowl long enough to read anything. :p

Oh, and if I've just ate White Castle or any sort of asian food, I'll sit down and read "War and Peace"....cover to cover.

The local newspaper is good.

News paper or gun magazines.

I never read the funny papers or joke books (while at work) because I'm not sure how it would look having full on belly laughter coming from the stall at work. At home it's OK though. :)

No. Their solid waste turns in to a gasseous state in the sigmoid colon and has an odor that closely resembles fresh rose pedals.

I usually take an issue of Motor Trend/C&D or Shutterbug/Popular Photography to the clonker.

Wow...It never smells like rose pedals when I go into the bathroom right after my wife!...maybe my sniffer is just off?

BTW I do crosswords....the time my daily constitution takes is just about the same time to finish one.

Well you don't want to get a stiffy sitting there....who can do their business with that staring at you?

You are a lucky man. Nothing worse than sitting there till your legs fall asleep.

Many things. Sometimes I take whatever novel I'm reading in there with me. Sometimes I keep a big anthology of cartoons in there, or I'll take a new magazine with me. Also, since I'm a bit of a nerd, sometimes I'll take my small laptop, trailing a 10-base-T cable, and surf the net while I crap. The laptop sits on the clothes hamper, which is the right height, and never bothers a thing.

I keep a bathroom novel. Currently its Catch-22. I also throw whatever magazines come in the mail in there too (gun rags, "car craft" (both better than playboy), "Bon Appetite" or "The Art Of Eating", but I usually read them cover to cover throughout two sessions. Actually, strangely enough, just yesterday morning I had this conversation with my gf's parents over breakfast. (yes, very open family.:) ) I told them I always finish the chapter, which is why it takes me more than three minutes. If I'm at work or out in the world somewhere and don't have anything to read I play chess on my cell phone. Usually takes two "sessions" to finish a game.

Usually a car magazine, although I have been known to take my laptop into the john with me. Gotta love wireless Internet. Surfing CF, of course.

Wow, I haven't heard a patch cable called a 10baseT in a long time. Bro, you need to untether and get yourself a little 802.11g.
