Does any one have the spec on the crank sensor Or a pic number of teeth I assume it a magnet pick up? Who make the senor?

Craig submariner409 12-07-07, 10:35 AM New series of CKP is made in Japan, spec'd by GM Engineering. 2 sensors in later N*'s. Hall effect sensor creating square and sawtooth pulses from a large reluctor machined on the crankshaft......I think 100 + teeth in the main wheel, also cut with a smaller odd number of teeth in order to give correct cylinder number reference and timing if either sensor goes bad. If so, PCM defaults to fixed timing and sets codes. Quite a bit of info and many pictures in here earlier this year.
