: Snickers - Cadillac Commercial

Has anyone seen the snickers commercial where the viking throws two trashcans to an identical spot on the back of a cadillac? The car looks really nice, and I hope they didn't actually dent it just to sell some candy bars. I can't tell what model it is but it seems to be a 90's Sedan DeVille. Heres the commercial:

I know, it think it was a 94-99 Deville. I was so pissed when I saw it. My grandmother used to have a 1998 Deville D'elegance black on black, very nice, but that car was totaled by accident. Let's be thankful it was not a RWD Deville or Brougham.

Yeah, I cringe a little bit every time they play that commercial. I usually look away.

That really got to me too. That should have been a Ford Taurus or something!

Yeah, now that the newer Cadillacs have completely shifted away from the classic look, these precious models are limited. No pre-2000 cadillac should have trashcans or anything else thrown at them!!

I was just discussing this very thing the other day. They used a beautiful '95 deVille to purposefully mess up. They should have thrown the cans at that Saab next to it.

Some people say that was the best commercial they'd ever seen...........

Well, thankfully it wasn't a rare, collectible or classic Cadillac. With no offence to anyone who owns one of these, or admires them.

Well i mean it would be one thing if the car was beat to crap but it looked like it was in really nice shape, carriage roof and all :(

ahahaha... FWD sucks anyways... Awww shit, i forgot i have one now...

Then again, if it has a northstar, its prob got a blown headgasket. So no loss really...

FYI, 1990Caddy, it's spelled "triple" with only one "p" ;)

Hi,after viewing the disturbing commercial, since i own a mint condition 1995 Sedan Deville, the Sedan Deville on the receiving end of the trash barrel is a 1994-1996 model. You can tell by the top 1/4 of the rear tire/wheelwell being covered by the fender/quarter panel, giving it a "skirted" look.Cadillac made this model for just 3 years, and then went to the fully open rear wheelwell for the 1997-1999 model rears.

The Sedan Deville in the commercial looked really well detailed until majorly dented.A truly mindless commercial.

As mentioned in a previous response, the Classic Cadillac body style of the Sedan Deville in the commercial was really the last of it`s kind and to see it trashcanned needlessly was not pleasant to see.

It`s amazing how trasher made the second trash can land in exactly the same dent as the first.Could have been video editing.

Yah my bad My Fav. Ill have to get right on it, forgive me for my absence of inteligence.
But Its a commercial, theres nothing one can do. Who knows if it was really dented, that dent and the barrel getting thrown could be editied in. But like Chad said,

Well, thankfully it wasn't a rare, collectible or classic Cadillac. With no offence to anyone who owns one of these, or admires them.

Its still funny. Look at the reviews on it.
Im not one to care much about front wheel drive. I miss my 90. Though i still have it, i dont know if I can keep it with all my other cars. The Deville is nice, but not the same.

I hate that commercial! The first few times I saw it I wanted to send hate mail to the company...but I couldn't remember what the commercial was advertising, lol.

I will NEVER buy a snickers for as long as I live!! Talk about commercial backfire. Those tv executives should consider what parts of American culture they are bashing (literally and metaphorically) to try and make a sale.

Meh, so they just so happened to pick a Cadillac. If it were a BMW, people on the BMW forums would be going "F*** Snickers!!!!!1" while people here would be going "Stupid BMW got what it deserved, POS"

I, on the other hand, thought it was a freaking funny ass commercial. It still makes me chortle.
