Even I'm kinda surprised...

Remember when the Lexus LS 600h was on the way, and there was head-scratching aplenty about the $100K+ price and the delay? At the time, Lexus said it only planned to sell 2,000 of the hybrid cruisers per year, and that they already had orders for 1,650 of them. Then the car came out, and in spite of being treated rather unkindly by the motoring press and boasting a less-than-stellar MPG improvement, it has sold 6,093 worldwide through October. The car only went on sale in July.

Seeing how many luxo-barges topping $100K roam this earth, I'm surprised they don't sell more. All those self-indulgent snots can now sleep at night.

I have seen three lemon buy back LS460 models on eBay already.. wonder how the 600h will hold up.

I remember people saying I was crazy on here when I said that this car will sell great.

I think they look nice (not great, not awesome, but "nice") inside and out, and they've got tons of luxury features and they're very, very advanced, but they lack that "WOW! I NEED this car" feel that other luxury cars have.

Honestly, I could see myself buying one of these current generation LS's, but it would be an LS460. I don't see the point of a hybrid drivetrain in a car of this magnitude.

Lexus 'people' are vast in quantity and wealth. Even the useless hybrid version is a huge upgrade over the last generation. Of course its selling beyond expectations.
