I'm not 100% certain, but I'm going to say no. I do believe they had different bumpers, the 73 and the 75.

I know for a fact that he tail light ends are different, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the bumper is too.

On the same note, does anyone know if the chrome trim that edges the fillers is one piece for each side or is it cut and joined at each corner?

The chrome trim is one piece. It is cut to allow it to follow the shape of the filler, but not right through.

So what you are saying is it is notched at each bend? Because mine are all cut into individual pieces and it looks really bad.

They are notched as in the attached picture. If this picture is too small to see I can email a high res one to you.

That is perfect. You answered my question exactly, thanks! Mine have been cut thru at each major bend, and it looks real bad. I thought to myself when i saw it, "that ain't right". thanks again for your help.

Now i see yours looks just like the shape of the tail fin, does this stuff come new in a roll or in long straight pieces?

They come cut to fit in the correct shape for each side of the car. I bought mine NOS on ebay about a year ago. I would think new they are almost impossible to find now. I have seen a couple of cars with a continuous strip, but it is the wrong profile i.e. rounded and not square in profile. But it looks better than none or some that is worn, cracked or discoloured.

Does anyone have a stock picture or the rear of a '75 or '76? I think mine is missing a couple of pieces, but i can't find a clear picture to see what it is supposed to look like.

Also, Alan, when you found yours on ebay, what were the called?

Look on ebay for "75 Cadillac Coupe De Vill rear filler panel"

Is that the only way you can get the little chrome trim, is to order all of it?

The original chrome trim was available on it's own and consisted of 6 pieces.
I doubt they are still available. They are just called mouldings. The original part numbers are
973 6348RH and 973 6349LH for the outside mouldings
160 5283RH and 160 5282LH for the small stainless mouldings in the corners ( you would find these at a salvage yard I would think.)
596 6176RH and 596 6175LH for the mouldings along the lower edge of the stop/tail lights
The chrome plastic parts discoloured and cracked with age like the rear fillers.
The aftermarket stuff in one length is round in profile and the original is square and fits the edge of the fillers exactly. It is also preshaped to fit the curves.

Alan.

Have a look at this car on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1976-CADILLAC-COUPE-DEVILLE-Must-See_W0QQitemZ250240524438QQcmdZViewItem
It has a reasonable rear shot.

Here are the "5" pieces that go on a 74-75-76 De Ville.
Hope this helps....
