He sold his '94 Roadmaster with 62K miles and just picked up a '92 Brougham d'Elegance with the 5.7 liter. It has 130K miles but has a new tranny and was very well kept, he stole it for $2,500. Even though it has double the miles of his Roadmaster, it drives every bit as tight. I think all it needs is a set of new plugs & valve cover gaskets, but nothing major.
I told him I will buy it from him when he gets bored!

Nice! Is this like a rite of passage in your family? To buy an old style Brougham? ;)

Well my brother has come a long way.. he was making payments on newer cars like his 2000 STS, 2002 SLS, 2003 DTS, 2002 Escalade.. and we showed him the light about these beautiful inexpensive daily drivers
These old RWD Cadillacs are in our blood!
My Dad finally sold his '92 Blue Brougham, the new owner is picking it up next week.

Can't argue that.....old and RWD truly is the best flavor of Cadillac!

Nice....I wish I would stop buying new cars. I already know I enjoy driving older ones.:banghead:

I kinda want an older Brougham, just so I can have a Cadillac again. I mean if nothing else, it's kinda wierd to show up to a Cadillac owner's meet in a Mercedes, especially if I'm a moderator. Just something in good shape, nothing too fabulous or expensive...preferably a 1979 Sedan deVille or Fleetwood Brougham or an 1981 deVille or Fleetwood Brougham.
Just running away with my imagination again.... :bigroll:

I would buy new cars all day long like my Father does, but I want to be able to pay cash like he does. I already pay enough interest with our mortgage and my med school loans.. the last thing I need is a car payment right now :(
I will have a CTS-V one day, but once I can pay cash for it..
